Lake Forest 6, UW-Stout 2LAKE FOREST, Ill (November 1, 2014) - Lake Forest College rolled off the first four goals of the night and went on to a 6-2 win over UW-Stout in the season opener for both teams at Alumni Memorial Arena.

Spencer Viele (So, Wildwood, Mo) midway through the second period. After Lake Forest popped in consecutive goals within a minute of each other in the first period, the Foresters came back to get two more within three minutes of each other in the second period and Viele gave way to
Chase Hollander (So, Random Lake) with the score 4-0.
Bobby Barrett scored at 16:15 in the first and Luke Swardenski scored on the power play a minute later to make the score 2-0 after one period. Jack Lewis scored twice in the second period, first at 7:54 and again at 10:56.
Riley Colvard (So, Centerville, Minn) put the Blue Devils (0-1-0) on the board with a power play goal at 13:25, on assists by
Joey Haydock (So, Junction City) and
Tyler Cayemberg (So, East Troy). But the Foresters (1-0-0) got the goal back seconds later at 13:57 to take a 5-1 lead.
Shayne McLaughlin (So, Eau Claire) would make it 5-2 when he scored at 14:15, with assists by
Derek Sand (So, West Fargo, ND) and
Jordan Stejskal (Fr, Cohasset, Minn)Â to end a while minute of scoring.
Lewis completed the hat trick at 10:43 in the third period for the final 6-2 score.
Viele worked 30:56 minutes, allowing four goals and making 27 saves. Hollander worked the final 29:04, giving up two goals and making 17 saves. The Foresters' Leo Podolsky allowed two goals and recorded 25 saves.
The Blue Devils will be at Hamline University, Friday, Nov. 7 and at Gustavus Adolphus, Saturday, Nov. 8.
