MENOMONIE (October 5, 2014) - UW-River Falls scored twice in the first half and added another goal early in the second half to blank UW-Stout 3-0 Sunday at Nelson Field.
The Falcons' (5-3-2, 1-1-1 WIAC) Nina Abramson scored in the ninth minute after a corner kick where Stout goalie
Paige Meyer (Jr, Beldenville) pushed the ball away only to see Missy Barnett pass the loose ball to Abramson.
Addy Soderholm scored on a penalty kick in the 28th minute and Alex Swatloski pushed in a shot inthe 59th minute.
The Falcons outshot the Blue Devils (2-6-3,1-2-1 WIAC) 13-9 overall and put seven shots on frame to Stout's six.
Stout return to action Tuesday, Oct. 7 when they host Hamline University in a non-conference contest at 7 p.m.
