Pedersen, Lutz notch wins in match at UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS (October 3, 2014) - Kelsey Pedersen (So, Lake Elmo, Minn) won her fourth consecutive singles match and Danielle Lutz (So, Maple Grove, Minn) won her third in four singles matches as UW-Stout squared off at UW-River Falls Friday afternoon with the Falcons taking a 6-3 win at Ramer Courts.

Pedersen extended her streak with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Anna Egensperger at No. 4 singles, then teamed with Lutz to defeat Molly Deering and Kayla Rosenow at No. 3 doubles, 8-1. Lutz won at No. 5 singles, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 over Deering. Pedersen improved her singles mark to 4-4 overall. Lutz won her fifth singles match of the season, a team high.

Cortney Hallahan (Sr, Lester Prairie, Minn) came back from a 6-3 first set loss and was just tripped up in the second set, 7-5, to fall at No. 2 singles to Hannah Klimek.

Stout will host UW-Oshkosh, Saturday, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m.
