MENOMONIE (November 8, 2013) - Nine different UW-Stout players scored goals as the Blue Devils rolled over Hamline University, 10-3, Friday at the Dunn County Ice Arena.

Not since the 2008 season has a Stout hockey team scored in double digits when they defeated Northland College, 11-2.

Freshman Craig Lindegard (Hallock, Minn) got Stout going with his first collegiate goal less than two minutes into the contest. Lindegard would be the only Blue Devil to tally more than one goal, picking up another goal six minutes into the second period.

Stout added power play goals by Justin Moody (Fr, Grand Forks, N.D.) and Matt Millis (Jr, Black River Falls) to take a 3-0 lead after one period.

The teams combined for five goals each in the second and third periods.

Stout's Hunter Scott (Fr, Eau Claire) opened the second with a goal three minutes in, but Hamline's Tyler Gonzales cut the lead to 4-1 a minute later. Lindegard got the Blue Devils back on track at 6:03 and Jordan Tredinnick (Jr, Onalaska) scored 25 seconds later. Nolan Kirley (Fr, Hayward) added a shorthanded goal at 9:36 to close out the period.

The opening three minutes-plus of the third period averaged nearly  a goal a minute as Stout's Riley Colvard (Fr, Centerville, Minn) and Kevin O'Donnell (Sr, Stoughton) scored. Hamline's Zach Johnson scored at 3:39 to end the outburst.

Stout's Shayne McLaughlin (Fr, Eau Claire) scored midway through the period and Hamine's Kevin Novakovich added a power play goal with two minutes remaining to close out the scoring.

Both teams utilized two goalies apiece. Casey Koop (Fr, Squamish, BC) got the win for Stout with 10 saves. Eric Wobschall (Jr, Owatonna, Minn) recorded 10 saves in the final period for Stout. The Blue Devils chased starter Nick Heimer after three goals in the first period, but Heimer returned midway through the second period and finished with 22 saves.

Stout will host Gustavus Adolphus, Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
