Lone Tommies goal in final period proves to be the difference

ST. PAUL, Minn (November 16, 2013) - St. Thomas scored the only goal of the game in the third period to defeat UW-Stout 1-0, Saturday.

After a scoreless first two periods, the Tommies' (5-1) Charlie Adams scored at even strength at 5:28.

Both teams had opportunities on the power play, but neither team could cash in. Stout (2-4) was 0-for-4 and St. Thomas was 0-for-6.

Stout's Corey Koop (Fr, Squamish, BC) recorded 29 saves, 24 over the first two periods and the Tommies' Drew Fielding notched 32 saves.

Stout returns home to host St. Scholastica, Friday, Nov. 22, then will head to St. Norbert, Saturday, Nov. 23.
