Tennis team closes out home portion of fall schedule with loss to Eagles

MENOMONIE (October 11, 2013) - UW-Stout closed out the home portion of their fall schedule with a 9-0 loss to UW-La Crosse Friday afternoon.

Cortney Hallahan (Jr, Lester Prairie, Minn) came close to taking a set at No. 5 singles. After dropping the first set 6-1, Hallahan pulled to within a game before falling to Jennifer Graham, 7-5. The loss snapped Hallahan's four-match winning streak.

Emma Pedersen (Fr, Eau Claire) and Anna Lano (So, Chaska, Minn) lost 8-3 at No. 3 doubles.

Stout will be at UW-Whitewater, Friday, Oct. 18, then will be at the WIAC Women's Tennis Championship, Oct. 26-27.
