Stevens Point downs Stout netters

MENOMONIE (September 30, 2011) - Elizabeth Lehnertz (So, Cary, Ill) picked up UW-Stout's lone win as the Blue Devils were toppled by UW-Stevens Point, 8-1, Friday.

Lehnertz defeated Molly Hendries at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-0.

Abbie Werwie (Jr, Kenosha) won her first set over Rachel Brown, 6-3, but then fell, 6-4, 10-8. Sammie Swanson (So, Eau Claire) and Emily Grossen (So, Monroe) were tripped up at No. 2 doubles, 9-7.

Stout will be at Edgewood College, Sunday, Oct. 2 and will also play St. Norbert College the same day.
