Werwie picks up No. 1 singles win

UW-Stout vs. Mount Mary | Beloit College 8, UW-Stout 1

BELOIT (September 3, 2011) - Abby Werwie (Jr, Kenosha) snagged UW-Stout's only win as the Blue Devils were defeated by Beloit College, Saturday.

After dropping the first set, Werwie battled back for a 4-6, 6-4, 10-5 win over Courtney Yates at No. 1 singles.

Stout was scheduled to play Mount Mary College, but that match was rained out.

Stout will be at the University of Dubuque Monday, Sept. 5, to take on the Spartans and St. Ambrose.
