Elizabeth Lehnertz (So, Cary, Ill) came within one game of winning her first set, before dropping the first set 7-6 as UW-Stout lost a 9-0 conference decision at UW-Oshkosh Sunday.
But Lehnertz couldn't repeat the performance as she dropped the second set, 6-1. Lehnertz's match was the closest of the day.
Abby Werwie (Jr, Kenosha) lost at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-2.
Stout returns to action when they will compete at the ITA Midwest Regionals, Sept. 23-25 at St. Peter, Minn.
