CLERMONT, Fla. (March 12, 2011) - UW-Stout opened their spring break trip with a 4-1 win over Bethel before dropping their second game of the day to Concordia, 6-4, Saturday afternoon in Clermont, Fla.
In the first game of the day Bethel took the first lead in the game but Stout rallied back with four unanswered runs. After
Sam Hastings (Fr, Waukesha) drove in the game tying run in the second inning,
Shanen Stainer (Fr, Menomonie) and
Kelly Conway (Sr, La Crescent, Minn.) each scored in the third to grab a 3-1 lead.
Courtney Richardson (Fr, Miltona, Minn.) tripled and drove in a run on a sacrifice fly.
Brittany Reiter (Fr, Eau Claire) went all seven innings allowing one earned run on six hits.
Stout returns to action with another double header tomorrow, Sunday, March 13th.
