St. Scholastica 4, UW-Stout 1
DULUTH, Minn (January 28, 2011) - UW-Stout took an early lead but could not hold it as St. Scholastica scored four unanswered goals in a 4-1 win over the Blue Devils at Mars Lakeview Arena Friday.
Logan Maly (Fr, Rio) opened the scoring 10 minutes into the game, giving Stout (11-9-0, 6-7-0) a 1-0 lead, with his second goal of the season.
But the Saints (9-10-1, 4-9-0) scored three goals in slightly over four minutes in the first period to take the lead. Paul Marcoux scored at 14:12, Tyler Miller scored at 16:15 and Chad Golanski scored at 18:15.
The second period was scoreless, but the Saints put the capper on the game when Marcoux scored his second goal of the game, this one coming with 16 seconds left in the third period.
Tom Lescovich (So, Clifton Park, NY) took the loss, recording 36 saves. Brennan Poderzay recorded 23 saves to get the win.
Stout will be at UW-Superior, Saturday, Jan. 29.
