MENOMONIE (October 3, 2009) - it wasn't breakfast at Wimbledon, but maybe breakfast in Menomonie as UW-Stevens Point defeated UW-Stout in an 8 a.m. WIAC showdown at the Sports and Fitness Center.
The Blue Devils (3-8, 0-5) picked up wins at No. 1 singles as
Allie Hinman (Jr, Lino Lake, Minn) defeated the Pointers' (9-4, 2-2) Rachel Benn, 6-4, 6-2. Hinman paired with
Abby Werwie (Fr, Kenosha) to defeat Benn and Chelsea Allbaugh at No. 1 doubles, 8-5.
Stout is off until Saturday, Oct. 17 when they host UW-La Crosse in their final dual match of the fall season.
