UW-La Crosse 8, UW-Stout 1
LA CROSSE (October 16, 2008) - Allie Hinman (So, Lino Lake, Minn) recorded UW-Stout's sole win as the Blue Devils dropped their final dual meet of the season, 8-1, at UW-La Crosse.
At No. 1 singles, Hinman defeated Kelly Kuether, 6-3, 6-2, running her overall record to 8-2.
Jodie Czech (Sr, Foley, Minn) came back after dropping the first set at No. 3 singles, but fell in the tightest match of the afternoon, 6-3, 6-7, 10-8. Czech and teammate Kiersten Thomsen (Jr, Andover, Minn) lost a close 9-7 match at No. 2 doubles.
Stout will conclude the dual season, Saturday, Oct. 18 when they host UW-Whitewater at 3 p.m. Stout be at the WIAC Championships in Madison, Oct. 25-26.
