Casey Parrott

Casey Parrott joined the UW-Stout Athletics staff in September 2022 as the Director of Athletic Communications and oversees all facets of communication for the Blue Devils' 19 sports teams. 

Prior to coming to UW-Stout, Parrot was the Director of Athletic Communications at NCAA Division I University of Idaho for one year and was the primary contact for football, women’s basketball, cross country and track & field. Where he managed the programs social media accounts and helped to develop a content strategy to increase engagement. He created, produced and redesigned media game notes. He also served on the Hall of Fame Committee. Parrott worked at the 2022 NCAA DI Women’s Basketball regional in Spokane, Wash. Media Workroom Coordinator and volunteered at the 2022 NAIA Baseball World Series.
 
Parrott spent five years at the University of Montana Western as the Sports Information Director and Athletic Facilities Coordinator. He was the primary contact for all 12 varsity sports. His duties included all athletic communications, social media, overseeing the department website, live video streaming, statistics and game day management. Montana Western saw significant increase on all social media platforms during Parrott's tenure. He has worked three NAIA Women's Basketball National Tournaments.

Parrott is an active member of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). In the CoSIDA publications he has earned two best in the nation awards and three second place finishes. He also has eight top-ten finishes in the NAIA-SIDA publications contest. In 2021, he was named the Frontier Conference Sports Information Director of the Year for the third consecutive year.
 
Parrott graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in biology. 

An avid runner, Parrott has finished five ultra-marathons, several marathons, numerous half-marathons and serves as co-race director of the Beaverhead Marathon in Dillon, Mont. and was the co-founder of Montana Running Company. 

Parrott is originally from Duluth, Minn., and resides in Elk Mound with his wife Hannah and two daughters Kylie (8) and Lorelai (7).
