Parrott has provided coverage of the Blue Devils’ women’s basketball program during its recent run of success, including conference championships in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2024 and 2025, highlighted by a run to the national semifinals. His NCAA Tournament game notes earned a top-10 finish in the College Sports Communicators Publications and Digital Design Contest. He also redesigned the department’s game day programs, which earned a Best in the Nation award. In addition to his communications responsibilities, Parrott serves on UW-Stout’s Athletics Hall of Fame Committee.

Prior to joining UW-Stout, Parrott served as the Director of Athletic Communications at the University of Idaho for one year. Working at the NCAA Division I level, he was the primary contact for football, women’s basketball, cross country, and track & field. He managed the programs’ social media accounts and helped develop content strategies to increase engagement while also producing and redesigning media game notes. Parrott served on Idaho’s Athletics Hall of Fame Committee and worked the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Regional in Spokane, Wash., as the media workroom coordinator. He also volunteered at the 2022 NAIA Baseball World Series.

Parrott previously spent five years at the University of Montana Western as the Sports Information Director and Athletic Facilities Coordinator. He served as the primary communications contact for all 12 varsity sports and oversaw athletic communications, social media, website management, live video streaming, statistics, and game-day operations. During his tenure, Montana Western saw significant growth across its social media platforms. He also worked three NAIA Women’s Basketball National Tournaments.

A member of College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), Parrott has received national recognition for his publications work, including two Best in the Nation awards and three second-place finishes in the CSC publications contest, along with eight top-10 finishes in the NAIA-SIDA publications contest. In 2021, he was named the Frontier Conference Sports Information Director of the Year for the third consecutive season.

Parrott graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in biology.

When not in the office, Parrott loves being outside on the trails and has completed several trail ultramarathons. He serves as co-race director of the Beaverhead Marathon in Dillon, Mont., and was a co-founder of Montana Running Company.

Originally from Duluth, Minn., Parrott resides in Elk Mound, Wis., with his wife, Hannah, and their two daughters, Kylie and Lorelai.
