With the 2018 season, Ryan Foster begins his second season as an assistant volleyball coach for the Blue Devils.
A UW-Stout graduate in business administration, Foster has served as president, coach and player of the UW-Stout Men’s Volleyball Club team for four of his five years with the team.
The UW-Stout men's club team is a part of the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference (WVC), one of the most respected conferences in the nation, and has participated in the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) Championship. During the last five years, the team has finished 19th, 25th, 2nd, 5th, and 3rd in the NCVF Championships. Foster has played as a libero, middle hitter and outside hitter. He has received both state and national recognition: All American D1 AAA libero, two-time all-conference outside hitter (2013 & 2014), WVC Mr. Service Ace – 2014, second team All American D2 Player, and holds team records for the most kills, digs, aces and best serve-receive percentage.Â

A River Falls native, in high school Foster played tennis, basketball, and soccer. He has also worked as an assistant volleyball coach at River Falls High School and Menomonie High School.
