Emma Sapiro began as the Marketing and Promotions Coordinator for the Blue Devils in June 2018.
Sapiro will oversee the marketing initiatives and promotions of the 18 Blue Devils intercollegiate athletic programs.
A UW-Stout graduate with a bachelors in Business Administration in 2016, Sapiro was a marketing intern for the UW-Stout Athletic Department from 2016-17. Sapiro was a 2016 marketing summer intern for the Eau Claire Express baseball team, working with all levels of promotion for the Northwoods League team. Sapiro was an assistant track and field coach for UW-Stout during the 2017 season, working with the jumpers and hurdlers. During spring 2018, Sapiro was an assistant track and field coach at Minnetonka, Minn., High School.
Sapiro was a four-year member of the Blue Devils women's track and field team, earning All-America honors in 2016. During her senior year, Sapiro competed in the multi-events, winning the 2016 WIAC indoor pentathlon title and the 2016 WIAC outdoor heptathlon title. Sapiro earned All-America honors, placing seventh in the heptathlon at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
Sapiro is currently fourth on the school's all-time list for the heptathlon and sixth on the pentathlon list. In addition to competing in the multi-events, Sapiro competed in sprints and hurdle events and her time is currently third on the school's all-time list for the 400-meter hurdles.
Sapiro is a native of Milwaukee, Wis., where she attended Milwaukee Lutheran High School.
