Logan Gullickson begins his 18
th year of involvement with the UW-Stout Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Gullickson has served as a Blue Devil coach from 2007 to 2011 and 2014 to the present.
Gullickson began as a student coach during the 2007-08 Track & Field season under then head coach Josh Buchholtz. In the fall of 2008, Gullickson began working with coach Matt Schauf and the Cross Country programs, maintaining these roles for four years through the 2010-2011 year.
In 2011, Gullickson stepped away from coaching to direct his focus on timing, working the next three years with PT Timing in Milwaukee. Gullickson returned to coaching at Stout in the fall of 2014 and has remained here since.
During the Cross Country season, Gullickson works as an assistant coach with coach Schauf. During the track season, he continues his role with Schauf and the distance/mid-distance athletes. Gullickson looks to expand and develop his knowledge and experience in other event groups as well. He will continue to handle timing for all of Stout’s home meets, high school meets, intrasquad competitions and time trials.
Gullickson began timing in 2008 with Josh Buchholtz and alumnus Craig Sandbulte at local high school meets and the WIAA State Track & Field Championships. Foto Finish Timing was founded in the spring of 2009. After a few years of unanticipated growth and an offer from PrimeTime Timing, Foto Finish Timing merged with PrimeTime Timing in 2012. With timing, Gullickson has been involved in events ranging from the LifeTime Fitness Triathlon series and the American Birkebeiner to the Prefontaine Classic at the University of Oregon and the NCAA DI, DII, & DIII National Championships in Cross Country and Track and Field.
A native of Sand Creek and a 2007 graduate of Chetek High School, Gullickson earned his undergraduate degree from UW-Stout in Graphic Communications Management.
