Savanah Oeltjen

The 2014-15 season marks the third as an assistant coach for Savanah Oeltjen, and Oeltjen is very familiar with the ins and outs of the Blue Devil program.

A four-year player with coach Mark Thomas, Oeltjen played in 117 games - the most in school history - for coach Thomas from 2003-07. A guard, Oeltjen averaged 8.8 points her senior year, a year she was a first team all-WIAC selection, and averaged 6.0 points for her career, tallying 698 total points. She finished with 329 total rebounds and 121 assists.

Oeltjen was also a member of the Blue Devil softball team, where she was an all-WIAC honorable mention selection in 2008.

A native of Spring Valley, Minn., Oeltjen, has coached a number of sports at various middle schools and high schools in the area.

During the summers of 2013 and 2014, Oeltjen has coached teams in Australia through International Sports Specialist, Inc. The teams consist of all-conference high school players from around the United States. The teams spend a week in Australia studying the culture and participate in a basketball tournament. Oeltjen also traveled with the same agency as a high school student, playing in Australia.
