Foley begins her sixth season at UW-Stout.
UW-STOUT (2018-Present)
In her five seasons at UW-Stout, Foley has helped coach 12 All-WIAC selections, three WIAC All-Defensive Team members, two WIAC Newcomers of the Year honorees, and three D3hoops.com All-Region selections.
In the classroom, the Blue Devils have had 77 WIAC Scholastic Honor roll honorees, and five CSC Academic All-District selections.
2022-23: The Blue Devils finished the season 18-8 overall, averaging 68.5 points per game (second in the WIAC). To secure their first WIAC Conference championship sine 2007. After a season opening loss, the Blue Devils rattled off 10-straight victories, including a win over No. 19 ranked UW-Oshkosh. The Blue Devils tied a school record with 12 made 3-point field goals against Dominican (Ill.). Stout overcame a 17-point first-half deficit to rally to a double overtime win against UW-La Crosse. Stout beat rival UW-Eau Claire on the final game of the season to claim a share of the WIAC regular season championship and earn a first-round bye in the conference tournament. Raegan Sorensen was named All-WIAC, All-WIAC Defensive team and All-Region. Anna Mutch and Amanda Giesen each received All-WIAC honors.
2021-22: The Blue Devils finished the conference season as the No. 2 seed in the WIAC Tournament, hosting a second-round tournament game for the first time since the 2006-07 season. Freshman Raegan Sorensen was selected as the WIAC women’s basketball newcomer of the year and was an All-WIAC honorable mention choice, along with Amanda Giesen and Anna Mutch.
2020-21: Freshmen Anna Mutch and Tess Johnson were selected to the All-WIAC honorable mention team and Mutch was selected as the conference's newcomer of the year in a year that saw the regular season trimmed down to only eight regular season games, plus the WIAC Championship tournament, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019-20: The Blue Devils played four overtime games, the most in a single UW-Stout season in school history. Forward Amber Fabeck and guard Shannan Watkins were first team All-WIAC selections. Watkins was a member of the WIAC all-defensive team.
2018-19: Foley's first season with UW-Stout took off as the Blue Devils rolled off 10 consecutive wins to start the season, the first time in school history that has happened. The Blue Devils finished the season at 18-9 overall, 7-7 in the competitive WIAC. Stout hosted a WIAC tournament game for the first time since the 2013-14 season, finishing fourth in regular season league play.
BEFORE UW-STOUT
Winona State University (2017-18)
Foley spent the 2017-18 season as a graduate assistant coach. The Warriors went 17-13, falling in the NSIC tournament championship.
PLAYING CAREER
Winona State University (2014-16)
Foley was a dynamic guard for the Warriors. As a senior, she averaged 15 points and 4 assists per game and led the Warriors to the best record in program history of 30-4; That same year, the WSU women also won their first NSIC Conference Championship. Her career achievements on the basketball court include: All-NSIC First Team, NSIC All-Tournament Team, All-Region Second Team, and WBCA All-American Honorable Mention. She was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team in 2016.
Illinois State University (2012-14)
Foley started 34 of 57games in her two years with the Redbirds, where she averaged 5.7 points and 2.6 rebounds a game.
At White Bear Lake High School Foley is the all-time leading scorer and averaged 20.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.3 steals per game. She was a two-time team captain leading the team to three conference championship titles, earning all-state accolades twice and all-conference honors three times. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior. Foley was the 2012 Ms. Basketball finalist. led team to a second place and third place finish in state as a sophomore and junior, respectively and a member of the team that had a perfect 18-0 conference record. A two-sport athlete, Foley was a five-year starter in soccer and earned two all-state, all-regional and all-America honors in soccer. The two-year captain on the pitch and was Ms. Soccer in Minnesota.
PERSONAL
A White Bear Lake, Minn. native, Foley earned a bachelors degree in secondary math and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Winona State.
