With the 2017 season, Vicki Pyan begins her first season as a Blue Devil assistant softball coach.

Pyan comes to Stout after two years (2014-16) as the graduate assistant softball coach at Carthage College in Kenosha.  During that time, she served as an adjunct professor,  teaching a concepts of physical fitness class.

Pyan was a four-year player for the Lady Reds.

A native of Crystal Lake, Ill., Pyan was named National Fastpitch Coaches Association first-team All-Great Lakes Region and first-team All-CCIW in 2014, second-team all-region and second-team all-conference in 2013, and first-team All-CCIW in 2012.  She is Carthage’s career leader in both doubles (45) and hit-by-pitch (50) and tied for the career lead in runs scored (117).  Pyan graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s in exercise and sport science. Pyan recently received her masters degree in education.

Pyan has also been a softball coach with Northern ICE Fastpitch since 2011.
