2025: The Blue Devils went 13-23, 4-10. Stout had the 25
th toughest strength of schedule in all of DIII. The Blue Devils saw a 33 point improvement in batting average up to .318. The team saw bumps in OPS, slugging percentage and 32 pount jump in on base percentage, while see a drastic drop in strikeouts.Stout topped Augsburg 13-2 in five innings, pitchers Kennedy Hodgeman, Samantha Bergeron and Anna Blanford combined for a no-hitter. Stout saw three earn All-WIAC honors. Payton Dolecki, a junior center fielder from Schaumburg, Ill., secured First-Team All-WIAC honors with a career-best .372 batting average. Dolecki tallied 48 hits, including seven doubles and a triple, while scoring 36 runs—second-most in the WIAC—and driving in 10. Her .430 on-base percentage and .442 slugging percentage underscored her offensive prowess, complemented by 19 stolen bases in 20 attempts. Defensively, Dolecki was unmatched in center field, posting a .988 fielding percentage with 77 putouts and eight outfield assists.Anna Blanford, a senior pitcher from Elmwood, Wis., earned Honorable Mention All-WIAC after a standout season in the circle. Starting 23 games and appearing in 31, Blanford recorded a 12-14 record with a career-low 3.58 ERA. She led the WIAC with 16 complete games and ranked 16th nationally with 154.1 innings pitched. Her 117 strikeouts—65th in the nation—and three shutouts marked personal bests, highlighting her durability and dominance for the Blue Devils.Stephanie Kuhn, a sophomore designated player from Apple Valley, Minn., received Honorable Mention All-WIAC. Leading Stout with a .397 batting average, Kuhn amassed 46 hits, including 10 doubles and a triple, while driving in 26 runs and scoring 14. Her .500 slugging percentage, .450 on-base percentage, and .950 OPS reflected her offensive consistency.
2024: The Blue Devils started the season 10-1, matching the best start in program history, en route to their first 20-win season since 2018. Stout went 22-20 and advanced to the WIAC semifinals. Mackensie Wolterstorff and Payton Dolecki received All-WIAC honors. Wolterstorff was named First-Team All-WIAC. She had a career year for the Blue Devils in 2024 posting career bests in innings pitched, ERA, strikeouts, games played, wins and saves. Wolterstorff started 20 of 32 games played going 12-12 a with three saves totaling 147.1 innings in the circle with a 2.23 ERA and 126 strikeouts (54
th in the nation) 13 complete games and just 47 earned runs. At the dish, she had 15 hits in 42 at bats for a .357 batting average and .400 on base percentage. Dolecki was named All-WIAC honorable mention. She started all 42 games with a .340 batting average and .450 slugging percentage. She totaled 49 hits, 11 doubles, two triples and 27 RBI. She was 22 of 25 on stolen base attempts. She had 14 multi-hit games and five games with three hits. Senior first baseman Ashley Jacobson set the school record for walks in a season with 24 and career walks with 67.
2023: The Blue Devils finished the 2023 season 11-26 playing nine games against teams ranked in the top-25 poll. Stout just barely missed the WIAC tournament falling short on the last day of the season. Kaylee Peterson and Kayli Pfeffer were named 2023 softball honorable mention All-WIAC. Peterson started 18 of 20 games played, hit .261 with an on base percentage of .320 and two stolen bases. Pfeffer hit .343 with four doubles and three home runs.
2022: The Blue Devils doubled their wins total from the previous season. Senior outfielder Korin Hall and sophomore third baseman Kayli Pfeffer were first team all-conference picks and sophomore catcher Lexy Kupczak was honorable mention. Shannon Jones was the WIAC scholar-athlete and earned Academic All-District honors.
Miller also served as Esports advisor from 2021-23 and as an assistant baseball coach during the 2021 season as well as with the compliance arm of the department.
PLAYING CAREER
Wayne State College (2017-19) Played in 91 career games with a .315 batting average, .506 slugging percentage and .858 OPS. Totaled 100 career hits with 56 runs scored.
2019: Started 45 games and hit .263 with four homers and 21 RBI...had a team high 12 game hit streak (April 14-May 2) and was a perfect 10-10 on stolen bases... received NSIC Spring All-Academic Honors and earned the NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award.
2018: Earned Second Team All-NSIC Honors after starting 46 games in left field...ranked second on the team in batting with a .364 average, leading the team in hits (59), was second in RBI (38) and triples (4) and tied for second in doubles (11) and homers (7)...led team with 18 multi hit games and had the second longest hit streak of the season at 15 straight games.
Ellsworth Community College (2015-17) Played two years at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa. Was named NJCAA Third Team All-American in 2017 after batting .399 with 14 homers, 62 RBI and 40 runs scored in 47 games played. His .786 slugging percentage ranked 12
th nationally in junior college baseball and his 136 total bases also ranked in the top 25 nationally. Received Academic All-Region honors.
Graduate of Cumberland High School in Wisconsin. Where he was a multi-sport standout in baseball and football. Was a three time First Team All-Conference selection and Most Valuable Player, two time First Team All-District selection and Third Team All-State.
PERSONAL
The Cumberland, Wis. native received his bachelor's degree in sports management from Wayne State in 2019 and his master's degree in organizational management with a specialization in facility and recreation management from UW-Stout in 2022.
