2026-27 will be Parker Huhn’s second season as assistant coach.
UW-STOUT (2025-Present)
2025-26: The Blue Devils men’s cross country team placed eighth and the women’s team placed 18th at the NCAA DIII North Regional Meet. Claudia Lasiowski placed sixth at the WIAC championships, running the 6k in a time of 21:43. Lasiowski went on to place 19th at the North Regional Meet. On the men’s side Julian Van Antwerp placed 28th at the North Regional, running the 8k in a time of 25:36. Lasiowski placed fourth in the 3000-meters at the WIAC Indoor Championships and the women’s DMR team placed sixth. During the outdoor track season, Lasiowski set a new school record in the 5000-meters with a time of 16:57.43. She went on to place fifth in the event at the WIAC Outdoor Championships.
BEFORE US-STOUT
North Central College (2024-25): Huhn served as a graduate assistant coach for the men’s cross country and track & field teams during 2024-25. The Cardinals cross country team won their 50th straight CCIW championship and the staff received the CCIW coaching staff of the year award. The team placed seventh at the National championship meet. Emerald Svienty placed 10th and Matthew Jett finished 32nd to earn All-American honors on the grass. On the track, the men’s team won their eighth straight CCIW indoor title and Braden Nicholson was crowned the national champion in the indoor 3,000m. Outdoors, the team won their seventh straight CCIW title and Nicholson was crowned national champion in the 10,000m and placed sixth in the 5,000m. The staff was also named CCIW coaching staff of the year for the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.
Additional Coaching Experience (2022-25): Huhn co-founded the Driftless Distance Project in 2024, and coached Midwest based post-collegiate distance runners. He worked as a business administrator for Trail Transformation, a trail-based distance coaching service. Huhn coached at the youth level, working with the La Crosse Track Club and the City of La Crosse's Youth Track program. He also has experience with meet management and race timing, having worked with End Result Race Timing.
COLLEGIATE CAREER
UW-La Crosse (2021-24):During Huhn’s time as a student-athlete at UW-La Crosse, he served as a cross country team captain from 2021-2023 and competed twice at National championship meets. He finished 7th place at the 2021 North Region Championship and twice in the top 10 of WIAC cross country championships. The Eagles won three WIAC team titles in cross country during his career.
Huhn served as a volunteer coach with the men’s and women’s track & field programs with the distance and mid-distance groups for three seasons. During this time, the Eagles won four National championship team titles and two individual national titles in the distance and mid-distance event groups. Huhn contributed to eight total WIAC track & field team titles, as an athlete or volunteer coach. As a competitor, Huhn finished in scoring position at WIAC Championship meets on four occasions.
PERSONAL
A native of Bettendorf, Iowa, Huhn attended Pleasant Valley High School and received his bachelor's degree from UW-La Crosse in exercise science and sports science in 2024 and is pursuing his master’s degree in sport leadership from North Central College with an expected graduation of Spring 2027.
