Josh Turnquist

Josh Turnquist begins his first season as an assistant men's basketball coach with UW-Stout in the 2017-18 school year.

Turnquist comes to Stout after two years as the head varsity boys basketball coach at Lakeview Christian Academy where his team improved their record by five wins and earned the second seed in the Section 7A tournament. Turnquist serived as the school's junior varsity coach for a season before taking over the head coaching position.

A 2017 graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Turnquist has interned with both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx teams. Turnquist has worked the summer basketball camp in his hometown Rogers, Minn., since 2012, and has coached summer basketball camps at the Oregon Ducks Camp, the Marquette Golden Eagles Camp and the UMD Bulldogs Camp.

Turnquist played a season at Minnesota-Duluth. He has tutored college students at UMD in a number of different business class for two seasons.

Turnquist was a double major at Minnesota-Duluth, earning bachelor degrees in finance and accounting, along with a minor in coaching.
