Ben Sanders begins his first year as a Blue Devil assistant men's basketball coach in 2016-17.

Sanders began coaching at St. Cloud Cathedral High School as an assistant in 2015 before he came to UW-Stout. He also assisted basketball camps at Southwest Minnesota State, working on skill development with K-12 students.

Sanders began his college basketball career at Grand Canyon University as a walk-on and then came back to his home state of Minnesota to play at St. John's University.

Sanders attended the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar in Indianapolis, Ind,. in January 2017.

Sanders graduated from St. John's in 2016 with a bachelor of arts in Global Business Leadership. He has worked with the Minnesota Twins and Dayta Marketing in business and marketing development.
