Mike Haydon begins his second year with the Blue Devils as a graduate assistant and will continue to work with the cornerbacks.

Haydon comes to Stout after coaching and playing at Defiance College in Ohio. Haydon worked with the Defiance running backs one year as a student assistant coach.

The 2006 team captain, Haydon was a four-year starter and three-year all-conference performer for Defiance, playing defensive back and linebacker. During Haydon's senior year, Defiance ranked fourth in Division III in defense and the team topped the league in both 2006 and 2005.

A native of Allen Park, Mich., Haydon received his bachelors degree in arts and humanities from Defiance in 2008. Haydon is pursuing a masters in education.
