After a four-year career as a linebacker with the Blue Devils, Brian Saaf begins his first year as a Blue Devils assistant coach and will work with the linebackers. Saaf, a native of Bloomington, Minn., played all in all 10 games in 2009, recording 34 total tackles, 17 solo. A team leader, Saaf, an applied science education major, also served a term with the UW-Stout student government as an SSA senator. Saaf was an assistant track and field coach at Menomonie High School last spring where he worked with the throwers.
