Sonja Wilson began coaching the UW-Stout cheer and stunt squad in the fall of 2012.

A UW-Eau Claire graduate with a degree in athletic training, Wilson was a member of the UW-Eau Claire cheer and stunt team throughout her four years as a Blugold. Wilson spent a year studying abroad in Australia.

Before college cheering, Wilson performed at Planet Spirit, an all-star gym in Minneapolis, Minn., a gym she has returned to and is currently performing with the 18-plus team.

Wilson currently is pursuing a nursing degree and works in an assisted living facility in Menomonie. She enjoys staying active, running and spending time with her fiance'.
