Threw 163 pitches in recording seven strikeouts, four hits before giving up the winning run in the bottom of the 12th on a two-out single to right field. Against Pointers, Hamann came on in relief in the fifth inning May 7, pitching 3.2 innings. With one out and a runner at third in the fifth. forced a groundout for the second out and notched a strikeout, his only of the game, to end the inning.
