Sebastian Monaco was named WIAC Kwik Trip Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-9.
Sebastian Monaco, a freshman goalie from Caledon, Ontario, made 58 saves with a .967 saves percentage to back a strong defensive effort and lead the Blue Devils to a weekend and season sweep over UW-Superior. The first season sweep over UW-Superior since the 2000-01 season and first three-game sweep of the Yellowjackets in school history. Monaco made 24 saves in a 4-2 win on Feb. 6, and then posted a 34-save shutout on Feb. 7, to keep UW-Stout in contention for the WIAC regular-season title.
This is the third time this season Monaco has received the honor.
