MENOMONIE — University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic has announced Julie Beston as the new head coach of the UW-Stout Cheer & Stunt program.
Beston brings extensive cheerleading experience to the Blue Devils, along with a strong connection to UW-Stout, where she currently serves as a biology professor. Her background in cheerleading and passion for working with student-athletes have made an immediate impact since joining the program this season.
As head coach, Beston will work closely with the team's student captains and leadership board to support athlete development, practices, game-day performances, competitions, recruitment and the continued growth of the program.
Beston's appointment adds to the program's leadership structure as UW-Stout Cheer & Stunt continues to build momentum and establish a foundation for long-term growth.
"We couldn't be more excited to have Coach Julie leading us," captains Ellanor Splinter and Cece Wallace said. "She has already been such an amazing addition to our team. Her experience, enthusiasm and willingness to support our student leaders have made a huge difference, and we are so excited to continue learning from her. We can't wait to see how much our program continues to grow under her leadership."
With Beston at the helm, UW-Stout Cheer & Stunt will look to build on the momentum of the current season while continuing to develop the program and provide meaningful opportunities for its student-athletes.
