Blue Devils Conclude Season with Loss to UW-Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. (February 22, 2025) - The UW-Stout men's basketball team closed out its season with a 75-51 loss to UW-Oshkosh on Saturday afternoon at Kolf Sports Center.

The Blue Devils (8-17, 4-10 WIAC) stayed in range early, trailing by just 10 at halftime, but a strong second half by the Titans (13-12, 4-10 WIAC) proved too much to overcome. Oshkosh shot 48 percent from the field, including a blistering 76.9 percent (10-of-13) from three-point range, while Stout struggled to find offensive rhythm in the second half.

Senior Jacob Walczak led the way for the Blue Devils in his final collegiate game, scoring a team-high 17 points. Fellow senior Brenden Weis chipped in three points, two rebounds, and two assists in his last game in a Stout uniform.

Nolan Stauffacher provided an inside presence with 10 points, six rebounds, and three blocks, while Collin Vick dished out a team-high five assists to go along with four points and seven rebounds.

Oshkosh was paced by Carter Thomas, who finished with a game-high 24 points, hitting five three-pointers. Joey LaChapell added 13 points, and Brandon Beck contributed 11.

The game marked the final appearance for Walczak and Weis, who have been key contributors to the Blue Devils program throughout their careers.

  • 29 – Total rebounds for UW-Stout.
