Blue Devils Roll to 75-51 Win Over Loras

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Wisconsin-Stout women's basketball team closed out 2025 with a dominant non-conference win, defeating Loras College 75-51 on Tuesday at the Stoltz Sports Center. The Blue Devils built an early lead and never looked back to improve to 9-2 in non-conference play.

Stout jumped out to a commanding 22-6 advantage in the first quarter, holding Loras to just 2-of-10 shooting while forcing eight turnovers. The Blue Devils' paint presence was evident early, scoring 16 of their 22 points inside and adding 10 points off turnovers. Julia Rybacki led the charge with six points in the period, while Mary Berg contributed five points and two steals.

Loras responded in the second quarter, outscoring Stout 17-10 behind efficient 3-point shooting (3-of-7). The Duhawks trimmed the deficit to 32-23 at halftime, Stout's offense cooled slightly, shooting 5-of-14, but the Blue Devils maintained control with strong rebounding (12 in the quarter) and bench production (10 points).

The third quarter proved decisive as Stout exploded for 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting, including a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. Eleice Dahl drained two threes, and the Blue Devils' defense forced eight more Loras turnovers, converting them into 10 points. Stout extended the lead to 58-35 heading into the final period, with Berg adding seven points and three assists in the quarter.

In the fourth, the teams traded baskets, but Stout's depth shone through with seven bench points. The Blue Devils shot 7-of-15 overall and held Loras to 6-of-15, securing the 24-point victory.

Brooklynn Birt paced Stout with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, adding two steals. Rybacki finished with 15 points and two steals, while Berg stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, five assists, and five steals. Grace Schisel chipped in nine points and three assists off the bench, and Maraya Wiltrout added six points and five rebounds. As a team, Stout dominated the glass 43-21, scored 48 points in the paint, and tallied 22 points off 21 Loras turnovers.

For Loras, Kelderman led with 13 points, including three 3-pointers. Emma Thompson contributed 10 points and four rebounds, while Page Erickson and Lexi Beier each scored eight. The Duhawks shot 9-of-19 from three but struggled inside, going 9-of-31 on two-pointers.

Stout returns to action in the new year with WIAC play, traveling to Platteville, Wis. On Saturday, Jan. 3 for a 3:05 p.m. tip-off with the Pioneers.
