Blue Devil Football Lands 11 on All-WIAC Teams

MADISON – The University of Wisconsin-Stout football team had 10 players earn All-WIAC honors for the 2025 season, the league announced today.

Earning First-Team All-WIAC recognition for the Blue Devils were Brooks Brewer (DB), Davonte Evans (WR), Blaine Seidl (LB), and TJ Scott (OL).

Second-Team All-WIAC selections included Ben Bystol (OL), Walker Beyerl (DL), Avron Carter (ST), Jojo James (RET), and Adam Moen (QB).

Honorable Mention honors were awarded to Jesse Ellis (DB) and Gabe Kramer (LB).

Defensive lineman Abe Helsell was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

On offense, Davonte Evans, a First-Team selection at wide receiver, ranked second in the WIAC with 810 receiving yards (57th nationally) on 54 receptions and seven touchdowns. He recorded five games with over 100 receiving yards, including a career-high 141 yards against UW-Oshkosh. Evans also averaged 18.8 yards per kickoff return.

Quarterback Adam Moen earned second-team honors after ranking third in the WIAC in passing, going 184-of-320 for 2,206 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was second in the WIAC and 39th nationally in total offense, averaging 267.9 yards per game. Moen rushed for 473 yards on 153 carries and scored 14 rushing touchdowns, ranking 20th in the nation in rushing TDs.

TJ Scott, a first-team offensive lineman, started all 10 games at center. Ben Bystol, a second-team honoree, started all nine games he played. Behind the offensive line, the Blue Devils averaged nearly 340 yards per game (5.3 yards per play) and 26.8 points per game. The team ranked 35th nationally in total touchdowns.

On defense, Brooks Brewer, a first-team defensive back, was second on the team with 68 total tackles (35 solo). He recorded four pass breakups, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble, and three interceptions, including a 66-yard pick-six against Dubuque. He was named WIAC Defensive Player of the Week and earned D3football.com Team of the Week honors on Sept. 9.

Blaine Seidl, a Ffrst-team linebacker, ranked third in the WIAC and 46th in the nation with 93 total tackles (9.3 per game) and was second in the conference with 49 solo stops. He added 12.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, an interception, and a blocked PAT. Seidl recorded six double-digit tackle games, including a career-high 16 against No. 8 UW-Whitewater. He was named WIAC Defensive Player of the Week twice (Oct. 14, Nov. 18) and earned D3football.com Team of the Week honors on Oct. 14.

Walker Beyerl earned Second-Team honors for the second straight season. He totaled 21 tackles, six tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and three quarterback hurries.

Jesse Ellis, an Honorable Mention defensive back, ranked fourth on the team with 43 tackles. He added nine pass breakups, one interception, and one fumble recovery.

Gabe Kramer, also Honorable Mention, finished with 22 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, and two pass breakups.


On Special Teams, Jojo James, a second-team return specialist, led the WIAC and ranked eighth nationally with 30.1 yards per kick return. He returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown against Dubuque.

Avron Carter, named Second-Team as a special teams standout, led the WIAC and was 20th nationally with 11.8 yards per punt return. He also caught 50 passes for 578 yards and three touchdowns.
