MENOMONIE, Wis. (October 11, 2025) – The UW-Stout men's soccer team put together a gritty effort against UW-Whitewater on Saturday afternoon, but the Warhawks held on for a 2–1 win at Nelson Field.
Whitewater opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Cooper Re found the back of the net off an assist from Matt White. Stout goalkeeper Eddie Puglisi kept the Blue Devils in the match with a stellar performance, recording 13 saves as the Warhawks fired 43 total shots.
Stout equalized early in the second half in spectacular fashion, as Marwan Kaddah bent in a corner kick in the 54th minute for his first goal of the season.
Whitewater answered ten minutes later with the eventual game-winner from Luka Breslin, assisted by Tyler Chrisman, to regain the lead.
The Blue Devils (1-10-3, 0-2-0 WIAC) will be back on the road Friday at 7:30 p.m. when they take on UW-Stevens Point.
