Stout opened WIAC play with a 64-57 win over the UW-Oshkosh Titans.
Brenden Weis hit an and-1 layup at the 16:07 mark of the first half to give Stout a 7-6 lead, Stout did not trail for the remainder of the game. Stout opened the second half on a 9-2 run to build an 11-point lead. Stout pushed the lead to 13 with 13:21 left to play, but the Titans fought back to pull within four with 7:26 remaining. Stout scored the next two baskets to regain an eight-point advantage, but again the Titans clawed back to within three with 3:02 left in regulation.
Mason Stoik made a layup to give Stout a two-possession lead. Wiess then stole the ball and was fouled on the fast break drawing a flagrant foul, Stout made both free throws and
AJ Uttech hit a shot to give the Blue Devils a nine-point advantage with 1:57 left to play. Uttech then hit a shot in the corner as the shot clock was expiring to seal the win.
