Lexi Wagner set a school record with nine made three-point baskets to lift Stout to a 73-70 win over rival UW-Eau Claire Wednesday night. Wagner was 4-5 from distance in the first quarter and was 8-10 through 30 minutes. She broke the record forty seconds into the fourth.
Stout led 35-32 after a tough hard fought first half. Stout opened the third quarter on a 13-0 run and looked to run away with game. A Wagner triple with 2:24 left in the quarter gave Stout an 18-point lead at 55-37. But the Blugolds closed on a 10-0 run to pull within eight heading into the fourth. Stout pushed the lead back to 13 with just over seven minutes to play. UWEC went on an 11-0 run over the next 2:20 to pull within at 66-64 with 4:43 remaining.
Raegan Sorensen hit an and-1 layup with 2:33 on the clock to give the Blue Devils some breathing room at 69-64. Wagner hit a pair of free throws with 17 seconds to play to give Stout a 71-67 lead but a three from the Blugolds made it a one-point game with 14.2 left in regulation. Sorensen hit a pair of clutch free throws to give stout a 73-70 lead and UWEC's last ditch three-point shot fell short.

- Lexi Wagner was 9-14 from 3-pt range for a career-high 29 points. She added five rebounds and two assists.
- Raegan Sorensen scored 14 points, seven rebounds - five offensive, two assists and two steals.
- Rosella Wille tied a season-high with 12 points, shooting 5-7 from the field and pulled down four rebounds.
