Blue Devils Fall to Carroll in Four Sets

The Blue Devils closed out the St. Norbert College Chick-Fil-A Invitational with a four set loss to Carroll. Carroll scored the first eight points of the match and led 12-2. Stout went on a run to pull within two at 18-16 but the Blue Devils couldn't get any closer as Carroll hung on to win 25-22. The teams traded points early in the second set but a 14-5 run allowed Carroll to run away with the set and take a 2-0 lead. The Blue Devils trailed early in the third 10-4 and rallied to tie the match at 12. Still tied at 16, Stout forced a fourth set by closing on a 9-1 run. Neither team could gain an advantaged in the fourth, Tied at 16 Carroll scored three straight and held that led to close out the match with the 25-21 win.
