The Blue Devils rolled to three set road sweep over Lawrence University Tuesday night. The first set was close early. Tied at seven Stout score three straight points, aided by two Viking attacking errors. Then went on an 11-1 run to take a 21-9 lead. In the second, Stout jumped out to a 7-2 lead and led 10-7 before another big run of 11-3 built the Blue Devil lead to 21-10. Back-to-back blocks closed out the second set for the Blue Devils. The third set went back and forth before Stout took a 12-10 edge Stout scored four of the next five points to build a 16-11 advantage. The Vikings tried to rally and got within three at 23-20, But Stout put the match away on a kill from
Stephanie Petrbok on an impressive save and assist from
Brooke McCune who jumped into the stands to save the ball.
