MENOMONIE - The UW-Stout Blue Devils Dance Team will host the 2024 Spring Tryouts on Saturday, April 20th and Sunday, April 21st. Tryouts are open to all 2024 graduates or older, and auditionees must be considering or committed to the University of Wisconsin – Stout for the fall of 2024 term.
Date: April 20 & 21, 2024
Location: Johnson Fieldhouse
Time: April 1: Fall Performance Team – 10:00-4:00pm, Hip Hop – 4:00-5:30pm | April 2: 9:00-12:30pm
Cost: $35 tryout fee for rookies; returners do not have a fee. Additional $20 fee for Fall Hip Hop Team. Please bring cash or a check written to UW-Stout Dance Team or UW-Stout Cheer & Stunt Team to check in.
The Saturday tryout will be required for all rookie dancers considering trying out for either the Blue Devils Dance Team. This tryout day will focus on basic technical skills (flexibility, jumps, strength, etc.), intermediate & advanced skills in the perspective sport, acrobatic skills, and other elements requested by the judging panel. Dancers who are interested in only the fall performance team should plan to attend day one, regardless of their rookie or veteran status
Sunday, April 21st will host a 'call back' audition for only the Blue Devils Dance Team Winter Competition Team. Day two will showcase all rookie and veteran auditionees in various combinations reflecting the 2024-2025 season styles.
The 2024-2025 Blue Devils Dance Team will be announced no later than Monday, April 29th, 2024.
