SUPERIOR - Tyler Masternak made 32 saves and
Peyton Hart scored in the second period to lift the Blue Devils past UW-Superior 1-0 to split the weekend series.
With the win, Stout (9-12-2, 7-6-0) moved back into sole possession of third place in the WIAC standings, three points clear of Superio (11-1-1, 6-6-1) with two games to place.
After a scoreless first period,
Peyton Hart tallied his 12th goal of the year at 3:31 of the second. WIAC player of the week
Boyd Stahlbaum and
Jake McAlpine picked up assists.
Tyler Masternak and the Blue Devil defense did the rest. Masternak stopped all 32 Yellowjacket shots to pick up his second shutout of the season and third of his career.
Stout is now five points behind Eau Claire in the conference standings and needs two wins over their rivals to move into second place and earn a bye in the first round of the WIAC playoffs.
Stahlbaum's assist is tied for third most in the WIAC. His 29 points leads the league in scoring.

The Blue Devils will host UW-Eau Claire next weekend to close out the regular season. Puck drop from Fanetti Community Center is set for 7 p.m. both Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday Feb. 10.
