Blue Devils Top Eau Claire 2-1 in Game One of WIAC Semifinals

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – UW-Stout won game one of the WIAC Tournament semifinals 2-1 over UW-Eau Claire Friday night at Hobbs Ice Arena.
 
Peyton Hart and Kullan Daikawa scored power play goals in the second period and Tyler Masternak made 39 saves to lead the Blue Devils to lead the semi final series 1-0.

After a scoreless 20 minutes, Peyton Hart tallied his 14 goal of the season with assists from Maxsis Brimanis and Tyler Sanborn at 7:16 of the second.

Later in the period, Daikawa scored his 10th of the year from Brimanis and Hart at 15:27

Eau Claire finally solved Tyler Masternak just pas the midway point of the third, but couldn't find the tying goal.

Masternak stopped 39 of 40 shots to pick up his sixth win of the season
 
UP NEXT
The Blue Devils will face off with UW-Eau Claire again tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 24. Puck drop from Hobbs Ice Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. Stout will advance to the championship game with a win or a tie tomorrow.
