The Blue Devils fell 91-84 in the WIAC Tournament semifinals Thursday night at No. 1 seed UW-Platteville. Stout and UWP battled with 12 ties and seven lead changes, but the Pioneers were able to hit free throws down the stretch to secure the win and advance to the championship.Â
Stout and UWP went back and forth right from the tip, with six lead changes. Stout led by three and UWP led by as much as six, but neither team to pull away and went into the half with the Pioneers leading 41-40.Â
The second half was much of the same, with neither team being able to build a multi-possession lead. Stout last took a lead with 8:19 left in regulation and trailed by two with a1:55 left to play. But they couldn't get any closer as UWP was able to hit free throws to avoid the upset.Â

- Brody Fox was 10-18 for a team-high 26 points. He dished out seven assists, two rebounds, one steal and a block.
- Jacob Walczak was 5-9 from 3-point range for 17 points, six rebounds and two assists.
- Aidan Shore was 8-15 for 16 points, three rebounds and three blocks.Â
