The Blue Devils overcame a 14-point deficit with 12 minutes left to play to top North Central 69-65 Wednesday night. Trailing by eight at the half, NCU extended the lead to 14 with 14:44 left in regulation. Stout then chipped away at the lead, keeping NCU scoreless for nearly six minutes to cut the lead to five. A triple from
Jacob Walczak cut the lead to two. He then made a pair of free throws to tie the game at 60 with 5:12 left to play. The teams traded baskets before
Jackson Wilhelmson made a basket in the paint with 16 seconds left to give Stout a 67-64 lead. NCU went 1-2 from the line and Walczak iced the game from the line with a pair of free throws with six seconds on the clock.
