MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Four members of the UW-Stout football team were selected to the
D3football.com 2024 All-Region 6 team,
Luke Cool,
Luke Parzyck,
Brooks Brewer and
Will Hammen all received the honor.
Luke Cool was named first team all-region. The kicker from Franklin, Wis. was the WIAC Co-Special Teams Player of the Year. He leads all of Division III with 21 made field goals, a school record and most in the WIAC since the 2011 season. This season, he has made 41 PAT's and leads the league in scoring with 104 points. He twice tied his own school record with five field goals in a game against UW-Stevens Point and then No. 8 UW-Whitewater.
He also holds school records for career total points (280), career PAT's (134) and career field goals (48). Total points in a season (104), field goals (21) PAT's (41).
On the offensive line,
Luke Parzyck was named second-team all-region. The first-team All-WIAC selection started all 10 games he played in. He anchored the offensive line for a Blue Devil offense that averaged nearly 400 yards per game (5.9 yards per play) and 33.8 points a game with one sack allowed in 525 qb pass + run attempts.
Brooks Brewer was named second-team all-region defensive back. He earned second-team All-WIAC. He had the most tackles in the WIAC with 103 (44 solo) with is 44th in the nation. He led the league with four interceptions, had five pass breakups and 1.5 tackles for loss.
Will Hammen, was named third team all-region long snapper. He was named second-team All-WIAC in 2024. He handled all the long snapping duties in 2024 with no bad or fumbled snaps, helping his kicker set several school records. Hammen received All-American honors in 2023.
The teams, selected in balloting by region 6 sports information directors and
D3football.com staff, were chosen from 194 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 82 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for
D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
NCAA Division III realigned Division III football into six regions in 2021. Region 6 includes the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Northwest Conference, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
