Menomonie, Wis. – The Bluegolds of UW-Eau Claire were triumphant in 2024's iteration of the "Battle of the Blues" rivalry game.
UW-Eau Claire got off to a quick start, scoring in the 6
th minute of play, as Johanna Thompson tapped in a goal in front of the Blue Devils net. This would prove to be the difference maker, as both teams were held scoreless the rest of the match. The Blue Devils built momentum throughout the game, coming close to leveling the score in the 75
th minute, as
Andi Romenesko put a shot past the goalkeeper, but was denied by the post.
Kristen Silenzi played all 90 minutes in net for Stout, making 9 saves in the game.
This final home game of the season served as Senior Day, as UW-Stout honored their seniors playing their last game as Blue Devils.
