LA CROSSE – The UW-Stout women's soccer team fell 4-1 to (RV) UW-La Crosse Wednesday night at Veterans Memorial Field.
The Blue Devils dropped a 4-1 decision to the Eagles. La Crosse scored three in the first and added a fourth tally early in the second half while outshooting Stout 41-6.
Trailing 2-0 in the 36
th minute, Stout scored to pull within a goal on a set piece.
Lauren Chukel's ball in off of a free kick found its way past the Eagles to
Ella Kemp's foot on the right side of the net. Kemp's first shot hit the right post, but she was able to bury her own rebound for her second career goal and first of the season. Chukel picked up her second assist of the season on the play.
Playing all 90 minutes for the first time this season sophomore goalkeeper
Claire Olson made a career high 16 saves for the Blue Devils.
