Blue Devil Women's Soccer Falls 3-2 to Oshkosh

MENOMONIE –  The UW-Stout women's soccer team fell 3-2 to UW-Oshkosh Saturday evening at Nelson Field.

The Blue Devils (0-9-2, 0-3-0) dropped a tough 3-2 decision to the Titans of UW-Oshkosh (2-9-2, 1-2-0).

Stout scored in the first minute. Anna Odisho scored her first goal with the Blue Devils just 47 seconds in from the right side of net on a pass from Lauren Chukel. Oshkosh scored the equalizer five minutes later to pull even at one.

In the 18th minute, the Titans Gabby Born scored her second on the game to give Oshkosh a 2-1 advantage. Stout appeared to tie the game at two in the 25th minute when Kalya White buried a shot from the right side. But after a lengthy discussion, it was determined that a Stout player was offside, and the goal was taken off the board.

Odisho scored her second of the game in the 62nd minute on a penalty kick. She tucked the ball into the lower left corner as the Titans goalkeeper dove the opposite direction.

Stout had a couple of good looks to score the go ahead goal but couldn't finish their chances. Oshkosh scored their third goal in the 78th minute off a corner kick, on the kick into the box the ball bounced around before the Titans were able to sneak it past the Stout goalkeeper.

Stout totaled 13 shots with 10 on target. Kristen Silenzi made five saves in the loss for Stout.
