Sorensen's Double-Double Leads Blue Devils to 61-48 Win Over Stevens Point

The Blue Devils used a 13-0 run to open the fourth quarter to pull away to a big win over UWSP. Neither team led by more than five points in a back and forth game for 30 minutes in a  game had six lead changes and 10 ties. Stout trailed by two with 2:20 left in the third before Amanda Giesen hit a couple of free-throw to tie the game at 39. Stout led by three heading into the fourth when Sam Schaeffer hit Sorenson on a outlet and Sorensen made the fast break layup and drew the foul for the 3-point play. As Stout build a 7-point lead early in the fourth, Lexi Wagner hit a dagger triple just before the shot clock expired to put Stout up 10. Stout led by as much as 16 down the stretch. 

Top Performers
  • Raegan Sorensen was 8-11 for a 22-point-10 rebound double-double.  
  • Amanda Giesen was 6-8 from the field for 18 points. 
  • Anna Mutch was 7-10 for 15 points, four rebounds and two steals.
