An 11-4 run midway through the first half gave UWSP at 12 point lead that they would hold on to and lead a low scoring affair 38-25 at halftime. Stout shot 27 percent and UWSP was 50 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes. Stout trailed by as much as 17 before going on a brief run to cut the Pointer lead to 10 with with 9:55 left to play. However, Stout would be unable to get any closer as the Pointers went on a 18-6 run to put the game away.
