MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Stout's
Anna Blanford has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 24 - 30.
Blanford (So., RHP, Elmwood, Wis./Elmwood) had a pair of strong performances during the week against two ranked teams. Against No. 23-ranked UW-Whitewater on April 29, she took a no-hitter into the fifth. In total, she went 6.2 innings and allowed one-run on four hits in the no-decision. Against No. 19-ranked UW-Oshkosh, she struck out seven in a complete game, allowed six hits and three runs to pick up the win. In the two contests, Blanford allowed four earned runs, struck out 10 batters and had a 2.05 earned run average.
